The Fraunhofer-Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE is once again
cooperation partner of the Solar Summit Congress.
The ISE will present a maximum
of connecting factors for the application of renewable energies
and, looking at electric mobility in particular, does research in the fields of
network integration and supply with renewable energies. The ultimate goal, according
to so the ISE, is to refuel electric
vehicles exclusively with renewable energies.
Another
goal of current research projects is the development of intelligent
controls which will ensure that in case of short-term peak demand for
energy, the recharging process can preferably be postponed, so that power
is generated exclusively from renewable energy sources during non-productive
times. However, the availability of vehicles always takes priority.
Electrification
of the vehicle drives is another essential parameter for a future-oriented
mobility since it offers the opportunity to reduce the dependence on
oil, minimise emissions and to better integrate the vehicles into a
multi-modal traffic system.
