The international series of congresses Solar Summits Freiburg focuses on the prospering area of solar technology development and the economic potential of the technologies concerned. With focal areas changing on an annual basis, the series of congresses addresses all the key areas of solar energy research. Taking place for the third time this year, the series of congresses has already established itself as an important international meeting place for the industry as a whole.
 
From 13 to 15 October 2010, the congress will be addressing the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable drive and vehicle concepts and their implementation in the market-place.

The five-year series of congresses “Solar Summits Freiburg” is an expert international discussion platform for the solar industry at which the mutual coordination of state-of-the-art research results and their industrial applications are analysed. With its annually changing focal subjects, the series of congresses addresses all the key areas of solar energy research. This year’s event is already the third in the series and is devoted to the subject of “solar mobility”. The previous years saw the series of congresses successfully establish itself as a key sector event thanks largely to the highly international nature of its participation. The city of Freiburg, host to Solar Summits, is considered to be exceptionally committed to the field of solar energy with in excess of 500 solar projects to its name.
